The brand is recognized across the industry as one of trustworthiness and durability, guaranteeing you won’t be disappointed. Morimoto headlights are a great addition to your car with all-around high quality performing well in both fog light and headlight placements. They use a reflector design to produce better fog light visibility as well as to create a wider beam pattern for safer driving at night. Morimoto headlights are an example of this line of high performance. The best headlights now have LED bulbs, which last longer and provide brighter light than other types of lights. Note: I do not have the yellow film on them and they are aimed properly. It’s a well-known fact that headlight technology has improved tremendously over the years with serious light output. For the record, I wanted to like these lights and still want to like them, but at the end of the day they just aren't bright enough. If you are looking for something that has a practical use, unfortunately these are not what you want. If you're only reason for buying these is for the look, then you will be pleased with these. That being said, they are much nicer and they are brighter than the factory fog lights on the 2018 F150 XLT. I have had these now for 3 months and I wish I bought something that was brighter. I love the way the beam pattern has that top cutoff line, but they just need to be brighter to have any real effect. I was extremely underwhelmed with how bright they were. It was foggy the very night I installed these lights so I took them out for a test. Removing the factory fog lights was somewhat difficult, but still doable with minimal tools and a little improvising (if you don't have a thin enough pry tool). The fog light swap is pretty straight forward. The lights have a plug-and-play, drop-in design and are SAE and DOT approved for street use. Morimoto's fog lights feature a heavy-duty cast aluminum housing and a thick polycarbonate lens that helps them survive everyday abuses both on and off the road. All of that light is harnessed by Morimoto's Kuria Projector Optics into a crisp and clear beam with a definitive cutoff that makes your truck's fog lights much more effective than stock. The Morimoto XB Fog Lights are built around a trio of Phillips Luxeon-T LEDs in each light with a 5500K color temperature that produce 1200 raw lumens of light per side. Durable and Reliable Construction with a Drop-In Installation Each set of Morimoto XB LED Fog Lights is an easy drop-in replacement for stock that doesn't require any permanent modifications, drilling, or wiring. Morimoto's XB LEDs drop right into place of your F150's or Super Duty's factory fog lights and together generate up to 2400 raw lumens of light that's harnessed by specially-designed projector lenses to give you and your F150 or Super Duty a crisp cutoff and clear beam path that greatly improves your F150's visibility at night and in inclement weather. Morimoto's XB LED Projector Fog Lights, on the other hand, give your 2015 to 2020 F150 or 2017 to 2022 Super Duty a tremendous level of light output and a hyper-aggressive look all in a drop-in package. 2400 raw lumens at a 5500K color temperatureĪwesome and Aggressive Look with Greatly Improved Light Output The stock fog lights and their halogen reflector design is a pretty standard, ho-hum affair that does its job, but isn't all that impressive.Black housing that matches black headlights.
